epson 10600 archival Question & Answer

epson 10600 archival M Posted by fpalen on 2009-11-18 07:49:01 (read 251 times)
we are contemplating getting one of these printers. Can we get catridges or must we refill the existing ones.? Any info yiou can provide would be useful. The seller says the unit has been idle for 3months or so. Should we anticipate problems with the printheads? If so are they fixable?

If it has been idle 3 months on archival pigment ink there is a good chance that it might be clogged. It may be unclogged by typical cleaning cycles and/or special cleaning solutions or not. It may need a new printhead and this also may fix the printer or not. The best advice would probably be to test all the above before buying if possible.
